Tim Thomas agrees to return to Mavs

Tim Thomas and the Dallas Mavericks will give it another go this season, as the power forward has agreed to a one-year deal with the team. He is expected to sign a contract Thursday upon passing a physical.

"We are excited to have him back," Mavs owner Mark Cuban said via e-mail.

Thomas, who was scheduled to arrive in Dallas on Wednesday evening, will make the veteran's minimum of $1.35 million next season, according to his agent, Bob Myers. He will fill a void at power forward ...
