Brandon Webb to see Rangers' doctor

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Texas Rangers pitcher Brandon Webb, the 2006 Cy Young Award winner attempting a comeback from shoulder surgery, could not get loose before a scheduled live batting practice session Wednesday and did not throw.

The Rangers said Webb experienced shoulder soreness and shut him down as a precaution. He was examined by team physician Keith Meister, who reported that it was nothing serious.
