Funeral held for Ron Springs

CARROLLTON, Texas -- Former Dallas Cowboys running back Ron Springs was remembered during Thursday's funeral service as a fun-loving guy.

Springs, who was in a coma for four years before dying a week ago because of a heart attack, was 54.

Numerous ex-teammates attended the funeral service at Covenant Church.

"He had a great sense of humor," said quarterback Roger Staubach, who spoke at the service. "A lot of fun."
