IRVING, Texas -- Receiver Dez Bryant did not practice Thursday, but the Dallas Cowboys are optimistic that he will be able to play Sunday against the Detroit Lions.
Bryant is still dealing with the thigh contusion that he suffered during the first quarter of the season opener. He missed Dallas' Week 2 win and only practiced once before playing in Monday night's victory over the Washington Redskins, when he caught four passes for 63 yards. He was limited during Wednesday's light practice.
