Texas Rangers keep Colby Lewis in fold

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Colby Lewis will be in a Texas Rangers uniform again in 2012 after the club exercised its option on his contract Monday.

Lewis will make $3.25 million next season.

Lewis, 32, has become a reliable rotation member for the Rangers the past two seasons, pitching at least 200 innings in each. He was also Texas' best postseason starter in 2010 and 2011, posting a 4-1 record and a 2.34 ERA in eight postseason starts (50 innings).
