Larry Brown meets with SMU

Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown interviewed with SMU on Sunday for the Mustangs' coaching vacancy.

Brown told ESPN.com senior writer Andy Katz on Monday that he had a good interview and was appreciative of the opportunity.

Marquette associate head coach Tony Benford and Indiana assistant Steve McClain interviewed with SMU athletic director Steve Orsini on Saturday for the vacant head coaching position, a source with direct knowledge of the situation told Katz.
