Rangers add to broadcast team

ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Texas Rangers announced Friday that Matt Hicks will replace Dave Barnett on the broadcast team for an undetermined length of time.

Hicks, who's the radio voice for the Double-A Corpus Christi Hooks, will be in the radio booth Saturday.

Hicks -- no relation to former Rangers owner Tom Hicks -- will work alongside Eric Nadel.

The Rangers made a change to their broadcast team when Barnett had a strange over-the-air sequence June 18 at San Diego.
