Colby Lewis eyes midseason return

FORT WORTH, Texas -- Texas Rangers pitcher Colby Lewis plans to start his throwing program in January and has targeted no later than the All-Star break to return to the rotation in 2013.

Lewis, who had elbow surgery in July, said Friday that he's doing forearm exercises and hasn't felt any residual soreness.
