Jason Witten sets receptions record

ARLINGTON, Texas -- With a 5-yard catch in overtime against New Orleans, Cowboys tight end Jason Witten set an NFL record for catches in a season by a tight end.

Tony Gonzalez had 102 catches in 2004 for Kansas City. Witten has 103 catches on the year for 983 yards.

The Cowboys lost, 34-31, in overtime to the Saints, mitigating Witten's sense of accomplishment.
