Source: Shoulder surgery for lineman

PHOENIX -- Dallas Cowboys starting right guard Mackenzy Bernadeau underwent surgery on his right shoulder and backup linebacker Alex Albright underwent surgery for a sports hernia this offseason, according to a source.

The recovery time for both players isn't known, but team officials hope each can return for organized team activities in May.

Signed as a free agent last season, Bernadeau started all 16 games for the Cowboys, but had an uneven performance.
