Alexi Ogando off paternity list

Texas Rangers right-hander Alexi Ogando was reinstated from the paternity leave list on Tuesday and was slated to take the mound against the Mariners.

Infielder Andres Blanco was put on the 15-day disabled list with back inflammation, which opened a spot on the active roster.

Ogando went on the paternity list Saturday to travel to the Dominican Republic for the birth of his child.

He has had a breakout season. The 27-year-old is 11-5 with a 2.88 ERA and made the All-Star team.

Colby Lewis and Ian Kinsler also went on the paternity leave list this season.

Blanco was on the 15-day DL in July with a stress reaction in his lower back.
