ARLINGTON, Texas -- If this World Series gets to a Game 7, Matt Harrison will start. And Rangers manager Ron Washington said it doesn't matter if Mother Nature impacts things with rain on Wednesday, either.
"It's Harry's game," Washington said. "I'm going to stay consistent. That's Harry's game."
According to weather.com, there's an 80 percent chance of rain on Wednesday in St. Louis. Should the game be postponed, shoving Game 6 to Thursday and a possible Game 7 to Friday, Derek Holland would be available on full rest to start Game 7. But Washington said that doesn't matter. He'll go with Harrison and Holland would be available out of the bullpen if needed for Game 6 or Game 7.
"Matt Harrison earned it," Washington said. "You think Derek Holland earned his start last night if you want to talk about struggles? That's the way we roll."
Harrison gave up five runs (three earned) on six hits in 3 2/3 innings in Game 3, which the Cardinals won 16-7. In the postseason as a whole, Harrison is 1-1 with a 5.02 ERA in four games (three starts).
