The third baseman said the injury is "not bad" and took batting practice with his teammates prior to Monday's game. He exited the game in Detroit on Saturday afternoon after doubling during the Rangers' blowout win in the first game of a doubleheader.
Beltre grabbed his left hamstring as he went into second base, and after consulting with manager Ron Washington and the training staff, he was taken out.
He said after the game that he didn't think the injury was serious and that he might be out a few days. He did not play in the second game of the doubleheader on Saturday or Sunday's game in Detroit.
