Texas Rangers starting pitcher Neftali Feliz will make his first start on a rehab assignment on Monday at Double-A Frisco. He's expected to pitch two innings.

Feliz was scheduled to start Sunday for Triple-A Round Rock, but the game with Memphis at Dell Diamond was rained out. Since Round Rock goes on the road Monday, the Rangers decided to have Feliz pitch for Frisco as they host San Antonio at 7 p.m. at Dr. Pepper Ballpark.

Feliz is currently on the 60-day disabled list with right elbow inflammation and is being stretched out as a starter. If all goes well on Monday, he'll pitch threee innings on Friday for Round Rock.

Feliz is 3-1 with a 3.16 ERA in eight games (seven starts) for the Rangers in 2012.
