Rangers activate Yorvit Torrealba

Texas Rangers catcher Yorvit Torrealba has been reinstated from the restricted list and will be in uniform for Saturday afternoon's game in Anaheim against the Los Angeles Angels.

Torrealba, who is batting .212 with two homers and 11 RBIs in 44 games in 2012, was placed on 72-hour paternity leave Tuesday and moved to the restricted list on Friday. His wife, Millie, gave birth to a girl on Tuesday in Florida.

Luis Martinez was optioned to Triple-A Round Rock to make room on the roster for Torrealba.
