The Texas Rangers have signed Jurickson Profar's younger brother, Juremi, a third baseman from Curacao.

The 16-year-old is expected to start the 2013 season in the Dominican Summer League. Juremi Profar, whose brother had a homer and a double in his big league debut on Saturday in Cleveland, is 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds. He bats and throws right-handed and is bigger than Jurickson was when the Rangers signed him.

The club likes Profar's arm strength and believes he profiles well at third base. The Rangers have made a big effort in recent years with international signings, particularly in Latin America.
