ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Texas Rangers and Baltimore Orioles each are carrying 11 pitchers on their roster for their win-or-go-home wild-card game Friday night.

Ryan Dempster is the only rotation member not on the 25-man roster the Rangers set for Friday night's game. Dempster started the regular-season finale Wednesday.

Yu Darvish was to start against the Orioles, and has pitched into at least the seventh inning in his past nine games. But Texas manager Ron Washington has 10 pitchers to pick from when Darvish needs relief.

Orioles manager Buck Showalter has 10 relief pitchers from which to choose. Their roster includes seven right-handers and three left-handers behind lefty starter Joe Saunders, who never has won at Rangers Ballpark.

The wild-card winner advances to play in the AL division series against the New York Yankees, and would host the first two games. The 25-man roster can be redone before then.
