Rays, Rangers force tiebreaker
The Texas Rangers have added game No. 163 to the regular-season schedule.
Beating the Angels 6-2 for their seventh win in a row Sunday afternoon, the Rangers forced a one-game tiebreaker with the Tampa Bay Rays for the second AL wild-card spot. The Rays beat Toronto 7-6 earlier Sunday.

The Indians, who closed the regular season on a 10-game win streak, clinched the first wild-card berth.
The Rangers will host Tampa Bay on Monday night. The winner plays two days later at Cleveland in another win-or-be-done match-up.
Price called it the kind of situation he dreamed about as a little kid.
"Hands down my biggest game of this year, night and day bigger than Opening Day," he said. "This is a moment that I want to be in. I want to be able to relish this moment and go out there and have fun."
Whoever emerges as the wild-card winner will then face AL leader Boston.
