Tyson Chandler misses 2nd straight

The Dallas Mavericks just can't catch a break as starting center Tyson Chandler missed his second consecutive game because of an illness Monday afternoon.

Without Chandler in Detroit, the Mavericks lost to the Pistons, 103-89, extending their losing streak to six games.

Chandler's illness limited him to 16 ineffective minutes Friday against the San Antonio Spurs. He didn't play Saturday at Memphis, when Brendan Haywood got the start for Dallas.

Chandler is averaging 9.1 points and 9.1 rebounds this season for the Mavericks, both career-highs.
