DALLAS -- Dallas Mavericks forward Lamar Odom and center Brendan Haywood aren't playing Wednesday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Mavs coach Rick Carlisle said Odom, who did not participate in the team's shootaround, was sent home from American Airlines Center because of a stomach ailment. Odom will be re-evaluated Thursday.

Haywood has tightness in his lower back.

Odom, the Sixth Man of the Year last season, has been a disappointment after being traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Mavericks during training camp. However, Carlisle said he's been encouraged by Odom's recent performances.

"We'll miss a guy that's playing good basketball," Carlisle said. "We'll miss his rebounding, his playmaking and he's an experienced player. We're going to have to step it up in other areas."

Haywood has been a key figure in the NBA's fifth-ranked scoring defense. He is averaging 5.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.0 block per game while splitting time with backup Ian Mahinmi.

Oklahoma City shooting guard Thabo Sefolosha (sore foot) isn't playing. He will be replaced in the starting lineup by Daequan Cook, allowing James Harden to be the sixth man.
