Agent will be Deion Sanders' presenter

Former cornerback Deion Sanders, who will be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame next month, will have agent Eugene Parker present him at the ceremony.

"I had a front-row seat over the years to see one of the greatest athletes in history perform," Parker said. "Now, I am honored to present Deion for his enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame."

Parker, who represents Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant, among others, won't be the only agent introducing a player. Rocky Arceneaux will introduce Marshall Faulk.

Presenters deliver remarks in a video tribute before joining the player in unveiling the bronze bust.

Others who will be inducted in this year's class include Shannon Sharpe, Richard Dent, Chris Hanburger, Ed Sabol and Les Richter, who is being enshrined posthumously.

Sharpe will be presented by his brother Sterling, the former Green Bay Packers receiver. Dent picked Joe Gilliam, his defensive coordinator at Tennessee State, to present him. Hanburger, the former Washington Redskins linebacker, will be presented by his son, Chris. NFL Films president Steve Sabol will present his father, Ed. And Jon Richter will present his late father, Les.

The enshrinement ceremony is Aug. 6 in Canton, Ohio.

It is not unprecedented for agents to present former clients at their induction. Howard Slusher introduced Mike Haynes in 1997, and Leigh Steinberg did the same for Warren Moon in 2006.

Last year, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones presented running back Emmitt Smith at his induction, as he did Michael Irvin in 2007.
