ARLINGTON, Texas -- Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo played Monday night against Washington despite his sore ribs.

Romo was 22 of 36 for 255 yards with no touchdowns and an interception as the Cowboys prevailed 18-16.

Romo threw lightly on the field about two hours before kickoff against Washington and was on the active roster for the game released about a half-hour later.

While receiver Miles Austin (hamstring) was inactive as expected, Dez Bryant (bruised thigh) was back after missing last week's game at San Francisco, the same game Romo was hurt. Running back Felix Jones was set to play after being limited by a bruised shoulder against the 49ers.

The only change in either starting lineup was Kevin Ogletree starting for Austin.

Among the inactives for the Redskins were fullback Darrel Young (hamstring) and safety DeJon Gomes (hamstring).
