IRVING, Texas -- Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo does not need an MRI because of a back strain, and nose tackle Jay Ratliff did not suffer his second high left ankle sprain of the season.

Romo said he got hurt as he twisted and turned away from Atlanta's pass rush on the final play of the Cowboys' 19-13 loss before dumping the ball off to Felix Jones. After the game Romo said he would be fine, but he was walking gingerly.

Ratliff suffered a regular ankle sprain in the second quarter and is expected to be ready to play Sunday at Philadelphia. When he was hurt there was a fear he could have suffered another high ankle sprain.

He missed the first four games of the regular season because of a high left ankle sprain suffered Aug. 25 against Miami.

Ratliff returned in the second half against the Falcons but saw most of his work in passing situations and was replaced by Josh Brent in the base defense. Ratliff was limping noticeably at times in the second half but was not in a protective boot after the game.
