In Kansas City at the Midsummer Classic, Hamilton started in left field for the American League, his fifth straight All-Star Game start. Why? At the break, he was hitting .308, and led the league with 75 RBIs and 27 home runs (tied with Jose Bautista). The All-Star Game wasn't his best night, though; he went hitless in two at-bats.
