Dallas Mavericks radio play-by-play announcer Chuck Cooperstein brings his own style of humor and sports talk to ESPN Dallas 103.3 FM.

• Chuck Cooperstein kicks off his new show with the anniversary of two big sports events. On this day in 1987, the SMU football program was given the "Death Penalty," which all but decimated the program. Then exactly two years later in 1989, Jerry Jones fired Tom Landry from the Cowboys. Coop says that Jerry may be a great owner, but his skills as a GM are less than adequate.
• Rick Carlisle joins Coop to discuss the Mavs' loss to the Lakers on Sunday, how the players reacted to the loss, motivating his guys in this losing season, how the team will stop the Bucks on Tuesday night and Dirk Nowitzki's role for the rest of the season.
• Did Mark Cuban's comments about the Lakers using the amnesty clause on Kobe Bryant motivate Kobe? Coop says the Lakers backcourt of Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant was the dagger in the Mavs' back in yesterday's game, but Kobe doesn't need any external motivation.
• Eddie Gossage, President of Texas Motor Speedway, joins Coop to discuss Jimmie Johnson's talent and personality, the Daytona 500 racel, how the new cars will perform this Cup season and the horrific wreck that took place Saturday.
• It's time to talk football. Tom Brady signed an extension, what impact will it have on Tony Romo's contract? What should the Cowboys do in the draft?
• Dan Dakich, an NCAA basketball analyst for ESPN, joins Coop to discuss some recent games that he's called and look ahead to a big matchup this week. Also, a look around the NCAA landscape.
• Coop takes a look at the cream of the crop that will be entering the NBA draft with an eye toward what position the Mavericks might be drafting. It's a thin draft, but Coop sees talent on the floor.
• Derek Fisher spent a few games with the Mavericks before feeling homesick. Now he signs with the Thunder? Then, Coop talks a little baseball. The Rangers had one bright spot on an otherwise miserable day as Martin Perez looked impressive in his spring debut. Also, Michael Young heard some support from new and former teammate Cliff Lee.
