A writer and columnist for the Dallas Morning News from 1966 through July 1998, and now a columnist with the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Randy Galloway -- along with cohort Matt Mosley -- uses his sports expertise to dominate the radio airwaves.

• The guys are live from the HP Byron Nelson Championship for the Thursday edition of Galloway & Company. The guys start with the upcoming pitching matchup between Yu Darvish and Justin Verlander at the Ballpark tonight as the Rangers start a four-game series with the Tigers. The current leader at the HPBNC is Keegan Bradley, who shot a ten-under 60 earlier this afternoon. Dirk Nowitzki is taking a pay cut so the Mavs can can sign more players. Randy says the pay cut is sincere and coming from his heart. Doug Free has taken a pay cut from the Cowboys and is set to make less than half of what he was originally going to make.
• The guys talk more on the Yu Darvish-Justin Verlander matchup tonight at the Ballpark. Randy says Verlander is the best pitcher in the American League, and possibly the best in the Major Leagues. Mosley says it is remarkable that Yu is already being compared to Verlander in just his second season in MLB. The guys talk on Lance Berkman maybe being too excited when running the bases.
• After George Postolos was fired as Astros CEO and President, Reid Ryan, son of Nolan Ryan, will be hired to take over the team. Reid doesn't have any major league experience, but comes in with some experience from the minor leagues. Mosley wonders whether Reid is looking forward to working with his dad in Houston in the future.
• It's the Thursday edition of Stretch Marks, and it kicks off with more talk on Doug Free's pay cut. Stretch says the team believes Free was on the same level as Tyson Clabo, and deserves to get paid the same. Mosley says it is ridiculous to think Free is as good as Clabo. Breaking news into GAC is that Alexi Ogando will be placed on the 15-day disabled list with right biceps tendonitis, and Josh Lindblom will make his start in Monday's game.
• With the injury to Alexi Ogando, the Rangers current rotation is Yu Darvish, Derek Holland, Justin Grimm, Nick Tepesch and Josh Lindblom. Randy says Russell Westbrook is the jock kingdom MVP of the spring, showing how much the Thunder need him after he was injured.
• Mostly Mosley is back, and it starts with Tony Romo's decision to attend meetings instead of attending the Cowboys golf tournament. The guys discuss who on the show would make the best PGA caddy. Mosley says Randy would be the worst caddy, but Friedo says Randy would be very entertaining. Mosley says Stretch would make a good caddy, since he has been a caddy in two PGA events, and that Friedo would be one of the most unpersonable caddies and might storm off the course.
• Mostly Mosley finishes up in its second segment of the day. Florida Gators offensive line coach Tim Davis calls Nick Saban the devil in a booster club meeting. Carolina Panthers wide receiver Steve Smith said Mark Sanchez is bad and that he wouldn't let Sanchez throw him a "paper bag sandwich." Kendrick Perkins had the worst Player Efficiency Rating ever in the history of the NBA Playoffs.
• The guys talk more on the current situation of the Rangers. The guys discuss how good Nelson Cruz actually is. Randy says when the Rangers return to Oakland in August and September, the games will mean something. Mosley says taking two of three from the A's in Oakland feels like a sweep.
• Randy says Yu Darvish is showing tendencies of being a Justin Verlander-like pitcher. Mosley says the gap between Yu and Verlander isn't as big as Randy thinks it is. Randy asks who on the Cowboys is a horse-ace on the team. Mosley says the best candidate is Jason Witten. Friedo says this is a wasted Yu start, because Verlander is way better than Yu is right now. Keegan Bradley is still leading the HP Byron Nelson Championship with a 10-under 60.
• The guys talk more on Reid Ryan being hired to take over the Houston Astros. Mosley says he doesn't think Nolan Ryan would find the Astros gig appealing because it will take four or five years before they will be a good team. Randy says if Nolan wanted to leave the Rangers, he would have already done so. Stretch says the Ryan name helped bring Reid some credibility.
• When asked about picking his replacement, Nolan Ryan chose his son Reid. The owners, however, told him that they don't hire family. The guys talk more on Doug Free's pay cut and decision to stay with the Cowboys.
• The Yu Darvish-Justin Verlander matchup reminds Friedo of the Nolan Ryan-Roger Clemens matchup back in the day. With the Alexi Ogando injury, the guys take another look at the Rangers' rotation of Yu Darvish, Derek Holland, Justin Grimm, Nick Tepesch and now Josh Lindblom.
