A writer and columnist for the Dallas Morning News from 1966 through July 1998, and now a columnist with the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, Randy Galloway -- along with cohort Matt Mosley -- uses his sports expertise to dominate the radio airwaves.

• Live from Las Colinas, GAC gets things started by briefly touching on the Cowboys' dress rehearsal, the Rangers' inability to extend their AL West lead and the start of college football.

• Is Yu Darvish an ace? It seems like a silly question, but there are a lot of people asking that question following yet another Rangers' loss with Yu on the mound. Galloway says a pitcher is going to go through unlucky periods when run support is scarce and he still has no issue with Darvish. As for Matt Garza, he has been extremely average since he arrived in Texas, which Galloway says is a major disappointment and cause for concern moving forward.
• TMZ is reporting that Lamar Odom has developed a drug addiction in the last couple of years, which doesn't surprise Galloway because everything he did during his time in Dallas screamed junkie.

• Nolan Ryan joins GAC for his weekly visit to discuss Yu Darvish's status as an Ace, Matt Garza's struggles, the team's inability to win outside of the division and more.
• The Rangers have a losing record outside of the AL West and Galloway is bothered by it because at the end of the day, you are what you are when it comes to your record.
• GAC touches on the biggest stories in DFW, including the Rangers' struggles outside of the division, the Cowboys' fourth preseason game and the start of football season.

• A lot has been made of the benching of DeMarco Murray, but Friedo, the darkest man in America, is throwing the fake discipline challenge flag. Galloway says he doesn't think it was fake and Mosley says he doesn't care if it's fake because at least something was done. In other news, Galloway isn't surprised by the news that Lamar Odom has a drug problem. In fact, he says that makes perfect sense and explains the Odom train wreck that was in Dallas a couple years ago.
• Yu is catching grief and Matt Garza is causing grief. Galloway takes a look at the top of the Rangers' rotation. The bottom line being that Yu is having bad luck and Matt Garza just hasn't been as good as we thought he'd be.
