FC Dallas 99 Central defeated the Elgin All Stars from Chicago, Ill., 3-0 on Tuesday in the Disney Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament.
Both teams came into the match with 1-0 records and Elgin held the goal differential in the standings.
The weather was much nicer Tuesday with a temperature of 81 degrees and no sign of rain.
In the second minute of play, FC Dallas' Alejandro Zamarripa intercepted a pass from Elgin's goalkeeper to score the first goal of the game.
FC Dallas struck again in the 10th minute with a goal from Zamarripa on an assist from Jonathan Robert.
The Elgin All Stars were issued a yellow card in the 16th minute and FC Dallas led 2-0 at the half.
FC Dallas increased its lead to 3-0 with a goal from Angel Abarra on an assist from Zamarripa in the 46th minute.
Elgin received its second yellow card in the 69th minute and FC Dallas completed its second shutout of the tournament.
FC Dallas' next game is Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. CST against Plant City FC Premier from Florida.
