Classy T-Wolves fans

SPECIAL TO ESPN.COM

Feb. 11, 2008 | Dick's Stock Watch provides a fast-glance review of the past week in the world of sports, charting whose stock is up and whose is down.

STOCK UP
•TConnecticut's men's basketball team won its seventh straight game, rallying to beat Georgia Tech.

•The Detroit Pistons have won seven straight games and sit at 36-13.

•The Houston Rockets have won six straight games and nine of their last 10.

•Carmelo Anthony scored 49 points in a game against Washington.

•The Minnesota Timberwolves fans were very classy, giving Kevin Garnett a standing ovation during his return to the Target center.

STOCK DOWN

•It is sad to see colleges firing coaches during the season. This is not the pros, and John Brady of LSU and Jay John of Oregon did nothing more than fail to win enough games to satisfy the athletic administrators.

•The Roger Clemens-Brian McNamee version of he said, she said is getting very tiresome.

•It is a shame the a few fans ruined it for the good ones in Illinois when Indiana visited last week.

•The Miami Heat have dropped seven in a row and now sit at 9-40.

•Welterweight champion Paul Williams was upset by Carlos Quintana. That was the first defeat for Williams in his pro career.
