Hooray, hooray, hooray
here's a salute to Jerry Colangelo, the head of the USA Olympic basketball committee. He made the right choice by picking Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski to run the 2006 World Championship squad and the 2008 Olympic team.
Coach K bleeds red, white and blue and has such love for the U-S-A. It all started as a youngster, when he played for West Point under The General, Robert Montgomery Knight.
Krzyzewski is a bona fide winner, a motivational guy, a great teacher. He will find a way to bring the U.S. back to basketball prominence, working with the professional athletes and those who make the team. They will play to the best of their abilities.
The coach is all about commitment. He's about having a goal and then putting together a plan to make it all become a reality.
What a great choice. Congratulations to Colangelo for doing the right thing. The USA Olympic basketball fortunes are in great, great hands. They have a man that will lead them to their potential. They will play their best and bring pride to the USA!
