STOCK DOWN: Team USA falls to Italy
U.S. men's basketball team -- Team USA lost to Italy by 17 points in a pre-Olympic exhibition game. Coach Larry Brown can't be too happy right now. He suspended Allen Iverson, LeBron James and Amare Stoudemire before the first Olympic tuneup, a win over Puerto Rico.
Mike Tyson -- The former heavyweight champion got beat in a fourth-round KO by Danny Williams in Louisville on Friday. Iron Mike has a torn knee ligament, and this could be the end of his career.
Chicago White Sox -- The White Sox hit a major bump in the road when they suffered a seven-game losing streak (which was broken Sunday).
New Jersey Nets -- The Nets traded Kenyon Martin and Kerry Kittles. Is Jason Kidd next?
STOCK UP: Braves still dominating NL East
Atlanta Braves -- The Braves continue to dominate in the NL East despite not having Gary Sheffield, Greg Maddux or Tom Glavine. Manager Bobby Cox has done a super job, and starter Mike Hampton had a great month of July, going 5-0.
Ichiro Suzuki -- The Seattle Mariners All-Star right fielder had another 50-hit month in July, his second 50-hit month of the season, the first time that has happened since Ducky Medwick did it almost 70 years ago. Ichiro is making a run at the AL batting title.
Alex Rodriguez -- A-Rod has been swinging a hot bat for the Yankees, hitting his share of home runs to contend for the AL title. He would be the first Yankee to hit 40 HR from the right side since Joe DiMaggio.
Florida Marlins -- The Marlins added Paul Lo Duca, Guillermo Mota, Juan Encarnacion and Ismael Valdez before the trade deadline to bolster their team.
