Spurs win NBA title

San Antonio Spurs — The Spurs won the NBA championship by beating the Detroit Pistons in seven games. it is the third title in seven years for the Spurs.

Boston Red Sox — The Red Sox have won seven in a row to take the lead in the AL East. Manny Ramirez has been on fire.

Atlanta Braves — The Braves swept the Baltimore Orioles. Andruw Jones has also been hot; he leads the majors with 24 home runs.

Birdie Kim — The golfer holed out a 30-foot bunker shot to win the U.S. Women's Open championship.

Texas baseball — The University of Texas won the College World Series by sweeping the University of Florida.


Milwaukee Bucks — The Bucks fired coach Terry Porter just days before the NBA draft.

Los Angeles Dodgers — The Dodgers have really fallen, losing 11 of their last 13 games.

Baltimore Orioles — The Orioles have lost six of their last seven.

Rafael Nadal — The tennis star went from winning the French Open to a second-round loss at Wimbledon.

Braden Looper — The New York Mets' closer blew a save against the New York Yankees on Sunday after walking the leadoff man in the ninth.
