JIM DENT is the author of three other popular sports books, King of the Cowboys, You're Out and You're Ugly, Too! (coauthored by umpire Durwood Merrill) and The Undefeated. King of the Cowboys was named one of the top four sports books of 1995 by Sports Illustrated. Dent covered the Cowboys for eleven years for both the Dallas Times Herald and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram and has won several national and state awards for his reporting and writing. A graduate of Southern Methodist University, he lives in Texas.
