Jay Mariotti
Chicago Sun-Times
Around The Horn Panelist

Never dull and always armed with an opinion, Jay Mariotti is a lead sports columnist at the Chicago Sun-Times, monitoring the passions of a lively, news-driven sports market since the summer of 1991.

He has won numerous awards on the national, state and local levels, including honors as one of the Associated Press Sports Editors' top columnists nationally.

Known for his topical, out-front-first style, Mariotti has covered every major sports event in America and around the world. He hosted a Saturday morning show Max and Mariotti with Max Kellerman on ESPN Radio and delivers weekly commentaries on the same network.

Mariotti is a native of Pittsburgh, where he grew up watching Super Bowl and World Series championship teams. Because he was spoiled by so many titles at a young age, he still doesn't understand after 12 years why Chicago teams lose so often.
