Acting since age 13, Marcello started honing his skills through his experience with improvisational theater in New York and studying at New York's Third World Theater at Black Drama Productions. Marcello's big break came when he won the opportunity to play Cornelius Bates in the motion picture "Dangerous Minds," opposite Michelle Pfeiffer. Since then, Marcello has continued to stay busy with numerous roles in both film and television shows including "Daylight," "Crimson Tide," "Volcano," "The Practice," TNT's television movie "Freedom Song" with Danny Glover and most recently in "ER" with an unforgettable performance in his recurring role as Leon, Dr. Greg Pratt's (Mekhi Phifer) mentally challenged brother.
A truly multitalented actor, Marcello also writes and directs and even has his own clothing line coming out in the Fall of 2004. Further illustrating his diversity, Marcello also enjoys working out and is a certified power lifter, holding a California state record.
Marcello grew up in the Bronx and currently resides in Los Angeles.
