Jumping on the Baylor bandwagon

March, 14, 2009
OKLAHOMA CITY -- A sparse crowd of about 10,000 fans are kicking around the Ford Center. The losses by Oklahoma State in Friday's semifinals and Oklahoma's loss in the quarterfinals squelched what little excitement there was for local fans.

But a bunch of Baylor fans have jumped on the Bears' unlikely tournament bandwagon and made the four-hour drive north on Interstate 35 from Waco.

It's resulted in the Bears becoming the popular choice by most of the fans who are attending.

My favorite sign can be found across the baseline from Missouri's bench by a Baylor student.

He played on his school's religion and its tournament hopes if the Bears can win today.

It read: "Let the Baptists Dance."
