Hockey coach allegedly attacked

TAUNTON, Mass. -- In what may be the latest case of parental sports rage in Massachusetts, the father of a high school hockey player has been accused of attacking an opposing coach.

Earlier this week at a rink in Taunton, following a game between Mansfield and Foxboro High Schools.

Police say Robert McDonnell, whose son plays for Foxboro, shoved assistant Mansfield hockey coach Erik Madsen into a steel door outside the locker room. Madsen suffered a bruise on his head.
