Wren staying with Braves as assistant GM

PITTSBURGH -- Atlanta Braves assistant general manager Frank Wren would rather be the general manager of the Braves than the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Wren, the former Baltimore Orioles general manager, and Pirates owner Kevin McClatchy met Tuesday and ended discussions of him taking the job.
