Chicago Cubs right-hander Ed Reulbach has a day for the baseball ages.
In the opener of a doubleheader against Brooklyn, he pitches a 5-0 shutout in Washington Park. With his pitching staff tired, manager Frank Chance uses Reulbach in the nightcap as well, and the pitcher responds with another shutout, 3-0.
