Kentucky player returns home after beating
PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- A high school basketball player injured during a fight involving about 20 students this week was released from a hospital Friday.
Jarrod Adkins spent five days in Pikeville Methodist Hospital. The 17-year-old player was severely beaten Monday night on the Shelby Valley High School campus.
"He's feeling better," said his mother, Norma Adkins. "He's feeling good enough to go home."
