Indians RHP Karsay undergoes elbow surgery

CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- Cleveland Indians righthander Steve Karsay, bothered by arm trouble over the final six weeks of the season, today underwent arthroscopic surgery on his pitching elbow.

Dr. James Andrews performed the procedure in Birmingham, Alabama, removing loose bodies from the joint.

Karsay, 27, was on the disabled list from August 25 to September 21 with a strained tendon in his right forearm. He was on the DL for the second time this season and the fifth time in his career. ...
