Thanks to baseball's staggered schedule, my beloved Red Sox play 48 percent of their 162 games against the American League East (a whopping 76 games in all). On paper, this isn't necessarily a bad thing. Nineteen of those games are with the Yankees -- always fun, always interesting -- and 57 of those games are with the rebuilding Orioles, the hideous Blue Jays and the ultra-hideous Devil Rays.
