Portland profiting from other teams' pitfalls

Before the season tipped off, Sacramento was expected to vie for the top spot in the Western Conference and challenge for the WNBA championship.

Some also thought Phoenix and Minnesota might make a run for the conference's fourth and final playoff spot.

And we were wrong on all accounts.
