Islanders, Parrish agree on two-year deal

UNIONDALE, N.Y. -- Restricted free agent Mark Parrish and the New York Islanders agreed to terms of a two-year contract Tuesday, avoiding arbitration.

The Islanders also came to terms with three-time Division I All-America Jeff Hamilton, an undrafted free agent center.

No other details of the agreements were released.

Parrish, who was selected for the NHL All-Star game, posted career highs with 30 goals, 30 assists and 60 points in 78 games.
