After rewording, charges refiled against boy attacker
CHICAGO -- Prosecutors refiled two charges against a teenager who attacked Kansas City Royals coach Tom Gamboa last month.
Charges of aggravated battery and mob action against a state police officer were dropped shortly after the attack. The off-duty trooper was a security officer at the ballpark.
The charges against the 15-year-old boy were refiled Tuesday in a hearing in Juvenile Court after a judge objected to the technical wording of the original charges.
