Jones was Marshall's second-leading receiver

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Marshall wide receiver Curtis Jones will be lost for the season because of a leg injury.

Jones was injured on the Herd's first play of a 24-7 victory over Troy State on Saturday. He left the game after making a 16-yard reception.

Jones was scheduled to undergo surgery Sunday at St. Marys Hospital in Huntington. The hospital refused to provide any information on Jones, and Marshall spokesman Ricky Hazel said he had no further information.
