Coyotes sign Quint to one-year contract

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- The Phoenix Coyotes, who will be without their starting goaltender for a few weeks, signed defenseman Deron Quint to a one-year contract on Saturday.

Quint had one goal and two assists in four games with the Springfield Falcons, Phoenix's affiliate in the American Hockey League. He signed a professional tryout agreement with Springfield on October 16.
