Lewis might need season-ending surgery

NEW YORK -- The next two weeks of rehabilitation will be critical to the issue of whether Baltimore Ravens middle linebacker Ray Lewis plays again this year, or undergoes season-ending shoulder surgery, team vice president of personnel Ozzie Newsome said Thursday.

"We'll know more on Friday," Newsome told ESPN.com. "And then we'll know a lot more a week from Friday. At that point, which will be roughly six weeks from the injury, we'll be in a better position to make a decision."
