Wietecha never missed a game in 10-year Giants career
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Ray Wietecha, who didn't miss a game in his 10-year career with the New York Giants, has died of an aneurysm. He was 74.
Wietecha died Dec. 14 in Phoenix, the Giants announced Friday.
His streak of 124 consecutive games at center ended with his retirement after the 1962 season.
During that period, the Giants won the 1956 NFL championship and four Eastern Conference titles.
