Burke out with sprained knee ligaments

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Phoenix Coyotes goaltender Sean Burke lasted just long enough to earn the NHL Player of the Week award.

Burke sprained knee ligaments while beating Detroit 4-1 on Friday and will miss the next two to three weeks.

The bad news was followed by good when he was honored Monday for earning three straight wins, a 1.61 goals-against average and a .953 save percentage during the week he was healthy.
