Hurricanes struggle to maintain intensity

Last year's Cinderellas on the ice just can't seem to do much right this season.

Reaching the Stanley Cup finals is one thing. Getting there again? Well, that's another story.

In recent years, the Panthers, Capitals and Sabres all have made appearances, but haven't come close to returning.
